Marquita Lewis is my name, twenty-nine years old, born a female, and loving my gender. I am currently a sophomore at Delaware County Community College. I enrolled here to cut some cost, while on my educational path. I am majoring in Science for Health Professions, planning to graduate May 2020. This degree will lead to a bachelors degree in biology. Then I will be on the path to accomplish an optometry O.D. degree.
Outside of school, I am an Eyeglasses manager at America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses. I help people every day find affordable and fashionable eye-wear to fit their vision needs. I enjoy what I do, working in this field has placed me on the path to accomplish my O.D. degree. I'm also a mother, I have three beautiful children. They keep me busy, they're so funny, caring and always wanting the best for me. When I get breaks from school and work, I take them out to show them I appreciate them. Their favorite places are the beach and Florida. Although I have no time for hobbies, I'm a very crafty person. I love drawing, sewing and doing my makeup. I have an addiction to makeup, I can not have enough. I love to have a variety of color palettes, mascara, and lipsticks. Color is my favorite, I play with all kinds of eye shadows and when I'm done, it always looks beautiful. I enjoy getting compliments on my eyebrows the most because they take me so long to do and I feel it was all worth it when people notice them. I never have time to draw on paper or sew clothes, so doing makeup is a way to show my art. When people stare at my face after I have beat my face to the God's, I feel like my face is a million dollar painting. It's amazing and enjoyable to see the before and after of myself and other peoples makeup I have done. The most enjoyable times of life for me is taking my children out. The most memorable moments is when we drive to the beach. Finally, we’re here I say to myself in my head as I get out the car for the beach. O.k., kids, everyone must grab something, I yell. But they only want to grab their own things. So, I have to give more directions. Amir, your job is holding the umbrella and a bagged chair. Alissa, your job is two bagged chairs and snack bag. Alana, your job is the small folded table and the activity beach bag, and I’ll get everything else. Stop playing, and grab what I told you'll to get or when can get back in this car and go home. I use that threat all the time to get my kids to act right and they always do. Then I laugh to myself as I watch them scrabble and yell at each other to do what I asked of them. As we walk towards the beach the kids look into every store window and say the same thing every time, ‘Ooh, MOM!, can we go into that store and get something for the beach.” I reply, “We have enough things to carry, let's get to the beach.” Then we continue walking to the beach.
